Good evening everyone,
I wanted to take a moment this evening to wish all those celebrating a very safe and Merry Christmas tomorrow and for everyone to have an amazing holiday season. It is an absolute honour and privilege to manage such fantastic staff here at Kawartha Home and Health Care Services. Each and every one of you brings something so meaningful and important to the work you do every day for the Residents at our facilities and our vulnerable in-home clients. I can not thank you all enough for being so hard-working, diligent and inspiring.
As we close out 2019 we have so much to be proud of, Kawartha Home & Health Care Services moved to a bright new office space, we introduced Home Supports Workers to compliment the tremendous need for in-Home workers, and we have so many new faces from across the spectrum of RNs, RPNs, PSWs, SSWs, DSWs and HSWs. This has been a year of challenge and a year of many wins. Our challenges do not end in 2019, I can tell you 2020 will be filled with highs and lows.
I am pleased to tell you that we have secured a sub contract with a LHIN-funded agency that will allow us to service more people and provide many of our staff with more hours in the community. Our admin team will undergo logistical training the first week of January so stay tuned!
In closing, you are all part of a large family of health professionals, you are such a special group of individuals that wake up each and every day to make people’s lives more fulfilled and more safe.
Please make time this holiday season to share love, laughter and make memories with friends and family.
Our office is closed the 25th and 26th but our dedicated after-hours team is available should you need them.
Thank you again for all you do. Wishing you a joy, peace and happiness.
